Biography:

“The need to capture a particular moment in thought or time has always compelled me to paint. There are certain subjects that need to be expressed, remembered and shared. I know I have been successful in my translation when the viewer is transported to the moment and is moved by it.”

A lifetime resident of Union Pier, MI. Susan finds artistic inspiration in many areas. Works in Pastel portray South West Michigan’s natural beauty.  In Oil she captures faces from the past as well as faces that are on spiritual journeys in the present. Other areas in thought and time are conveyed through Poetry writing and Abstract painting.

A self-taught artist, Susan’s award winning work has been displayed in the Midwest Museum of American Art in Elkhart, IN. The Box Factory in St. Joseph, MI. and is part of the Corporate collection of Lakeland Center for Outpatient Services in St. Joseph, MI.
