Looking for
a fun summer experience different from all others? The
Lubeznik Center for the Arts invites children ages six to
eleven to register for its annual art camp, which runs
between July 21 and August 1, with options to accommodate
busy summer schedules. This year’s camp is called ClickArt
Summer Camp, with its theme “focused” on photography. It
will tie in to our recent exhibit “Photography Now” and
with our current exhibit “Everyday Mysteries”.
The camp will give kids a chance to experiment with
photography as well as drawing and collage. Students will
use a digital camera to take pictures, then use the
resulting images to create drawings and collages. Learn
composition and color and explore photography through self
portraits, landscapes, traditional and abstract themes.
Participants may bring their own camera, or use a shared
camera. |
Ages 6 through 8 will meet
Monday through Friday between
9:00am and 10:30am, while ages
9 through 11 meet from 10:30am
to noon. The cost for the
entire camp is $95 and
includes an hour and a half of
instruction and fun. Those
with scheduling conflicts may
drop-in on the days that they
are available for just $12 per
day.
